“Feast on the Farm is one of our most enjoyable events,” says Dr. Alice Wainwright-Stewart, President and CEO of Lakeland College.

“I am so happy that we can welcome guests who join us in celebrating and supporting student success. »

After a two-year hiatus, Feast on the Farm will take place on Thursday, August 18 at the Research Center, located on the Vermilion campus. The event will take place outdoors in a large tent and is hosted by CFCW radio host and Lakeland Class of 1987 alumnus Greg Shannon.

This will be the fifth time Lakeland has hosted the event, which features a popular dining experience, musical performances and more. This is an opportunity to connect with industry leaders, alumni, and college friends while raising funds for Lakeland’s distinct educational model. Funds raised from the event support Lakeland’s experiential learning model, providing educational experiences that go beyond the classroom.

“We pride ourselves on providing our students with hands-on, work-integrated experiences where they can learn, lead and collaborate,” says Wainwright-Stewart.

“By supporting Feast on the Farm, our guests provide funds that go directly to creating powerful learning opportunities for our students.”

Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, Feast on the Farm dollars have helped several student-run projects across Lakeland, including building a Human Services Club playscape, a new grain shack for the student-run farmhouse – Powered by New Holland, an interior design technology program cutting room revamp, among others.
