First Fall Fest held in Leetonia, the community hopes it will become an annual tradition

LEETONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – Leetonia hosted her first annual fall festival on Saturday. The event replaced the former Festival des artisans.

It was a beautiful day to enjoy the start of fall in Columbiana County.

Saturday was the first Fall Fest in Leetonia and that’s it to raise money for the community.

“We are doing this to help raise funds for many community activities. First, we are raising funds for the Splash Pad, also for the parks and for the beautification committee, ”said Mayor Kevin Siembida.

The Splash Pad has been in the plans for some time now.

“Leetonia is not a big village, so we just want something here for the kids that they can do and that we as a community can be proud of,” said Courtney Branch, board member.

Fall Fest had many vendors along the main drag and even shows.

Many people from the community showed up at the event.

The plan is to keep Fall Fest an ongoing tradition in the village.

“We plan to make it an annual thing, so we are already preparing for next year,” Siembida said. “And we’ll post the dates probably in the next month or so when we do it again.”
